Introduction and Clinic History
For over a century, Hoxsey Therapy has been utilized as a therapeutic intervention for serious and life-threatening conditions, including oncology. Originally established in the United States, the therapy demonstrated a significant clinical impact. In 1963, Mildred Nelson, R.N.—who collaborated closely with Harry Hoxsey since 1946 and was designated as his successor—founded the Bio Medical Center in Tijuana, Mexico. The facility is strategically located less of two miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, in close proximity to San Diego, California.
Since its inception, Bio Medical Center has served as the exclusive international home of Hoxsey Therapy. Throughout her tenure, Mildred Nelson, R.N., treated thousands of patients while spearheading the expansion and modernization of the center. Today, the institution is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of fully licensed, English-speaking physicians and healthcare professionals dedicated to addressing the complex medical needs of a global patient base from the United States, Canada, and beyond.
As a natural evolution of our commitment to comprehensive patient care, BMC Clinic operates as the sister clinic of Bio Medical Center.
